Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the African Union Internship Program, applicants must:
- Be citizens of an African Union Member State.
- Be actively enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program; OR
- Have obtained a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Be no older than 32 years at the time of selection.
- Be fluent in at least one AU working language (English, French, Arabic, or Portuguese).
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and strong ethical conduct.
- Have no serious criminal convictions.
No prior work experience is required.
Required Skills
Successful candidates should possess:
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in multicultural environments
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills
Knowledge of additional AU languages such as Spanish or Kiswahili is considered an advantage.
