💼 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Applications are now open for the PAHO Integrated Health Surveillance Consultant position based remotely with travel to Guyana.The consultant will support the implementation of Guyana’s One Health Project, helping strengthen integrated surveillance systems across human, animal, and environmental health sectors.
This role focuses on strengthening integrated disease surveillance systems, supporting outbreak preparedness and response activities, improving epidemiological monitoring processes, and enhancing public health data collection and analysis. The consultant will work closely with national authorities, technical experts, and stakeholders to build surveillance capacity, develop operational frameworks, support training initiatives, and improve evidence-based decision-making.
Through these efforts, the position contributes to a stronger health security, early disease detection, and a more effective public health interventions at national and regional levels.

📋 REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are generally expected to have:
