About Opportunity
The Farmer Trainer role provides an exciting professional opportunity for individuals passionate about agriculture, community development, and knowledge sharing. This position is focused on equipping smallholder farmers with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to improve crop productivity, ensure quality compliance, and adopt sustainable practices.
As a Farmer Trainer, you will deliver practical training sessions, provide hands-on farm demonstrations, and support farmers in applying improved techniques. You will help build farmers’ confidence, enhance production standards, and encourage the adoption of regenerative agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities
The Farmer Trainer will be responsible for:
- Delivering both group and individual farm trainings on agronomy, regenerative practices, and quality processing techniques
- Conducting farm visits, demonstrations, and practical exercises
- Encouraging adoption of improved farming practices and compliance with production standards
- Monitoring training attendance, collecting data, and reporting on field activities
- Engaging community leaders, local government representatives, and stakeholders
- Supporting women’s participation in training programs and community initiatives
- Maintaining demonstration plots and farm records
- Contributing to program evaluation, feedback, and improvement strategies
The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse community groups.
Who Can Apply

- A secondary or post-secondary qualification in agriculture, agronomy, or a related field
- Knowledge of local farming systems and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in relevant local languages

- A Class 3 motorcycle license for mobility across rural locations
- Experience or interest in community development, training, or extension services
