🌍 About the Investment Officer Role

The Investment Officer will play an important role in advancing climate finance delivery and green investment under the LIFT Programme.

The successful candidate will help develop high-quality, bankable concept notes for multilateral climate funds and support financial institutions in establishing green lending portfolios.

The role involves working across multiple countries and engaging with banks, development finance institutions, governments, consultants and development partners.

💼 Key Responsibilities

The Investment Officer will be expected to:

  • Support green lending and investment activities across participating countries.
  • Help financial institutions access climate finance.
  • Support the development of green lending frameworks and financial products.
  • Identify and structure green investment opportunities.
  • Develop and strengthen bankable investment pipelines.
  • Support financial modelling and pre-feasibility analysis.
  • Coordinate consultants and technical assignments.
  • Review technical outputs and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support capacity-building activities and training.
  • Contribute to programme and donor reporting.
  • Document lessons learned and good practices.
  • Support ESG, environmental and social risk management and climate-risk integration.
  • Participate in technical meetings, workshops and stakeholder consultations.
