About the Consultancy

The International Consultant will provide technical leadership in integrating Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) considerations into Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Climate Change, and Anticipatory Action initiatives throughout the Pacific.

Working remotely under the supervision of the Humanitarian Specialist, the consultant will contribute to policy development, research, regional coordination, proposal development, capacity building, and humanitarian preparedness.

Key Responsibilities

The successful consultant will:

Complete country-specific Sendai GAP one-pagers for eight Pacific countries.
Update regional monitoring of the Sendai Gender Action Plan.
Co-design a regional Community of Practice for Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Produce a regional white paper on SRH coordination.
Support Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) training with Fiji National University.
Review Multi-Risk Assessments (MRAs) for Fiji, Tonga, and Vanuatu.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for MISP implementation.
Support project proposal and concept note development.
Provide technical guidance on humanitarian preparedness.
Engage with regional stakeholders and development partners.

Education

Applicants should possess:

Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Gender Studies, Research, or a related field.

Experience

Applicants should have:

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience working in humanitarian or low-resource settings.
Experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH).

Experience with Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).
Climate change programming experience.
Policy development and technical advisory experience.
