About Opportunity
UNESCO is currently recruiting an Associate Research Officer to support scientific research activities at its international research centre in Trieste, Italy.
This role focuses on conducting advanced research in areas related to climate science, particularly regional climate extremes and hazard projections. The selected candidate will contribute to research projects that support real-world applications such as renewable energy systems and environmental risk assessment.
The Associate Research Officer will collaborate with scientists, researchers, and international institutions to advance scientific knowledge and develop practical solutions to global environmental challenges. The role also includes contributing to training programmes, workshops, and academic activities within the institution.
This is a project-based position with a contract duration of approximately one year, offering professionals the opportunity to gain international research experience within the United Nations system.
