About Opportunity
The Programme Analyst (GBV) position is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, within the UNFPA Country Office. This is a fixed-term role at the NOB level, designed for professionals with experience in programme management, gender-based violence, and development work.
In this role, the Programme Analyst will support the implementation of UNFPA’s country programme, with a specific focus on gender-based violence prevention and response. The position involves working closely with the GBV programme team, government counterparts, civil society organizations, and other UN agencies to strengthen systems that support survivors of violence.
The role contributes to the development and implementation of GBV case management systems, referral pathways, and data systems. It also supports national efforts to improve coordination among stakeholders and enhance access to quality GBV services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of GBV programme activities in collaboration with partners and stakeholders
- Assist in strengthening GBV coordination mechanisms and case management systems
- Contribute to the development and scaling of GBV data management systems and national databases
- Support training and capacity-building initiatives for implementing partners and service providers
- Assist in implementing GBV service protocols, standards, and guidelines
- Contribute to strengthening referral pathways at national and subnational levels
- Monitor programme activities and support reporting, evaluation, and documentation
- Participate in GBV coordination groups and inter-agency working groups
- Support budgeting, planning, and reporting processes for GBV programmes
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation of lessons learned, and best practices
Who Can Apply
This opportunity is suitable for candidates with a strong background in gender, development, or social sciences. Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in gender-based violence, programme management, or international development
- Experience in capacity building, training, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong understanding of GBV frameworks, policies, and response systems
- Excellent communication, report writing, and analytical skills
- Fluency in English and Khmer is required
- Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is an advantage
