About Opportunity

The Research Assistant (G5) 2026 position is a very unique opportunity within UNODC’s Drugs, Laboratory and Scientific Services Branch in Vienna, Austria. Key Responsibilities

The Research Assistant is responsible for:

• Collecting, extracting, and compiling technical data on illicit drugs
• Processing and managing scientific information in databases and early warning systems
• Evaluating and verifying data for accuracy and clarity
• Monitoring developments in assigned areas using multiple sources
• Preparing reports, presentations, tables, and visual materials
• Supporting content management of web portals and information platforms
• Assisting with administrative tasks and coordinating seminars or meetings
• Producing analytical outputs for review by senior officers

Who Can Apply
