Study in Belgium Fully Funded: ICP Connect 2026–2027

The ICP Connect Scholarship, funded by VLIRUOS and Belgium’s Directorate-General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DGD), offers a fully funded study opportunity for exceptional students from eligible countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This competitive scholarship supports full-time study in one of five specialised Master’s programmes at KU Leuven, Belgium.
Programmes Covered
Scholarships are available for the following internationally recognised master’s degrees:
- Master of Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies
- Master of Human Settlements
- Master of Food Technology
- Master in Sustainable Development
- Master of Water Resources Engineering
Scholarship Coverage
The ICP Connect Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support throughout the full duration of the selected programme. The package includes:
1. Full Tuition Fee Waiver
All tuition fees are covered by the general scholarship grant.
2. Monthly Allowance – €1,400
This monthly stipend is designed to fully support students during their stay in Belgium. It covers:
- Living and accommodation costs
- Meals and daily transport
- Personal expenses (including internet and basic needs)
- Health insurance
- Installation and settling-in expenses
- Indirect travel costs
- Tuition fees (handled directly through the scholarship)
3. Travel Support
Scholarship holders receive:
- A round-trip economy ticket to Belgium at the start of the scholarship
- A return ticket to their country of residence upon completion
- Any required local connecting flights included
4. Duration
The scholarship is provided for the entire standard length of the selected master’s programme.
5. Number of Awards
A total of 50 scholarships are available 10 per programme.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Degree Level
Available exclusively for Master’s programmes.
2. Eligible Countries
Africa:
Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, D.R. Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, South Africa.
Asia:
Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Palestinian Territories, Vietnam.
Latin America:
Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Haiti, Nicaragua, Peru.
3. Academic Requirements
Applicants must:
- Meet all admission requirements for the specific KU Leuven programme they apply to.
- Review and fulfil any programme-specific eligibility conditions, which may include academic background, English proficiency, or prerequisites.
