Key Responsibilities

1. P&C Operations & Administration
You will support the end-to-end administrative and operational needs of P&C teams. This includes maintaining employee files and documentation, preparing HR materials, and ensuring that all tasks align with established IRC policies. You’ll support payroll submissions, track HR actions, and help streamline administrative processes. Recruitment support is another major component, from scheduling interviews to coordinating with hiring managers.
2. Coordination & Communication
The position requires excellent coordination skills, as you will frequently organize meetings, manage agendas, record minutes, and ensure follow-up on key action items. You will help create communication materials, develop engagement tools, and support recognition initiatives that contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This role also supports onboarding processes for senior roles, including Country Directors, by helping maintain updated materials and guidance.
3. Data & Reporting
Data accuracy is essential in this role. You will help maintain HR data across systems, support the creation of P&C dashboards and reports, and ensure consistency across various records and platforms. Your work will contribute to identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities that can strengthen HR functions globally.
Who You’ll Work With
The People & Culture Operations Officer reports to the Director of People & Culture, Planning & Operational Excellence and collaborates with several internal partners, including the CRRD P&C team, Operational Excellence staff, regional Human Resources teams, and the Emergency Unit. Although the role carries no direct supervisory responsibilities, it offers broad exposure and meaningful partnerships across a highly collaborative global environment.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about improving HR processes. You should have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, along with at least two years of experience in HR or administrative coordination. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential. You should be comfortable working across time zones, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Proficiency in Office 365 programs like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook is required. Experience with digital engagement tools and Human Resources information systems especially Workday is a strong advantage. A creative mindset and familiarity with AI tools for communication or data tasks will also help you thrive in this role.
